Abstract
This memory represents a reference study for the uses of bee products. Existing research demonstrates that the utilization of these products varies significantly depending on human need, encompassing diverse fields such as treatment, food, and even cosmetic. A field investigation was conducted to assess the extent of their use in Algeria through an online questionnaire directed at 152 people from different categories (beekeepers, consumers, and healers). The findings revealed a substantial and growing reliance on honey, while the use of other hive products (royal jelly, propolis, pollen, wax, and venom) they remain narrow and confined to treatment use.
Furthermore, the study identified major obstacles hindering the development of the apicultural production and marketing sector in Algeria, most notably insufficient training, limited financial support, and low public awareness. The study recommends the implementation of technical training programs, increased material support, and the expansion of research efforts aimed at understanding consumer behavior and fostering sectoral development.
