This discipline, at the intersection of mathematics and computer science, focuses on the creation, description, and analysis of algorithms. It has flourished with the advent of computers and programming languages, serving as the essential first step for computer scientists entering the world of automated processing. Algorithms are the backbone of computing, providing computers with specific instructions to perform tasks, while data structures organize data for efficient processing. The main objective of this course is to guide students in assimilating and utilizing the concepts and techniques necessary for constructing algorithms to solve problems. This involves developing analytical skills and algorithmic reasoning, enabling students to understand and analyze problems, describe them in pseudo-code and C++ programs, select appropriate data structures, and address programming challenges effectively.
