To achieve this goal, the descriptive method was adopted. Data were collected using an observation tool and a questionnaire consisting of 15 items measuring the extent to which Natural and Life Sciences teachers value the importance of teaching performance, reciprocal relationships with learners, and modern teaching strategies in developing selected life skills among middle school students. The psychometric properties of the questionnaire (validity and reliability using Cronbach's Alpha) were assessed, and it was distributed to a sample of 50 teachers from various provinces, namely: Skikda, El Tarf, Annaba, Tébessa, Guelma, Souk Ahras, and Jijel. The study targeted Natural and Life Sciences teachers working in middle schools located in these provinces, selected randomly on an incidental basis. To test the study’s hypotheses, the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 26 was used, applying various statistical methods such as frequencies, percentages, hypothesis tests, analysis of variance, and graphical curves. The study yielded the following results: • Natural and Life Sciences teachers have a moderate level of appreciation for the importance of teaching performance in developing certain life skills among middle school learners. • There are no statistically significant differences at the 0.05 significance level in the participants’ appreciation of the importance of reciprocal relationships between teachers and learners during the educational process in developing life skills, attributed to the gender variable. • There are no statistically significant differences at the 0.05 significance level in the participants’ appreciation of the importance of modern teaching strategies in developing life skills among middle school learners, attributed to the variable of teaching experience. Based on the findings, the two students proposed a set of recommendations and suggestions directed to the Ministry of Education, encouraging middle schools, educational institutions, and their teaching staff to implement modern teaching strategies aimed at fostering life skills among middle school learners.
